Last week was a little crazy for me. There was so much going on that my head was spinning. Some of it was good, some of it not so good. I’ll share something fun that occurred & leave the negatives aside for now. After all, I am trying to make a concerted effort to focus on the positives in my life.
An interesting and exciting adventure has popped up because of this blog. As much as I have been down on myself about the growth of my blog being slow, every once in a while a fun opportunity or a meaningful connection has arisen because of it. I am only 6 months into blogging and continually remind myself to be patient and that I need to put more effort in if I want this to be successful. However, someone read one of my posts and has offered us an opportunity too good to pass up. My husband and I will be traveling to Los Angeles for a whirlwind trip. Stay tuned to find out why we are going and hear about how the trip goes!
We will be gone for less than 48 hours. However, when you have three young children and a puppy and do not have immediate family locally, you can’t just get up and travel to the other side of the country at the drop of the hat. After some hustling, we have arranged for 2 babysitters, one neighbor, one cousin, and a partridge & a pear tree to watch the kids and pup. A three page detailed schedule with a list of every in case of emergency number has been developed. Meals have been planned. A new dress has been purchased and my nails have been done. I think I have this covered…

Well you got us hooked now, because nobody has an idea what you are going to do and we all want to know it. Good on you you managed to get the kids looked after. I know how hard that is when there is no family around.

you are true…if you have children there is no holiday which is unplanned. You have to manage more at home while you are traveling. Have an exciting whirlwind trip!!!
